Thank-you for all your understanding and help. Your message when I phoned in April from Florida about us flying back after Mother's fall was so full of good wishes. My mother, at 99, came through the surgery fine – a metal rod inserted in her hip bone. It took a while for all her systems to get back working, but she was alert mentally from the start.

Mom is now in a rehabilitation facility in Ft. Meyers and cooperating with the therapists. We are hopeful that it won't be too long before she's back home. Al and I stayed there 3 weeks and that last week was especially hard on him. I appreciate getting the help from your agency in May. Don't want to repeat my early letter – but you know we found Martha exceptionally capable. You matched us well. If we need help again, we will contact you. I cannot say enough about Wanda, both her telephone manner and her efforts to line up caregivers when my mother and I needed them so.

Your caregivers are simply tremendous. Bille and Mireya are in a class by themselves and there is a special place in heaven for folks like them. Marie was kind and capable and it was reassuring to have her around. Nora was the consummate professional – she knew exactly when to call me to return to the apartment. I can't imagine how I would feel if Nora had not been so alert to the change in my mother's condition, and if (I and my brother) had not been able to be there at the end.
